The nurse made sure I was comfortable and felt secure with getting my procedure done. I got offered if I wanted to squeeze a toy whilst getting an implant removal and replacement. The nurse made sure everywhere was clean and sanitised before using the equipment . Over all I am happy with my appointment and I recommend other young girls to go to the brook.

I feel like when a patient comes for a consultation if there a bit nervous then I feel like a parent should be allowed to be in the procedure room with the patient just to make them feel a little bit more secure.

the lady who was with me for the reason i was there was absolutely lovely and she just made it a lot easier for me.

I attended the service to have the contraceptive implant removed. I was a bit nervous as I didn’t know what to expect, but Karen (nurse) was incredibly patient with me and explained everything to me. She didn’t rush into the procedure at all, and allowed me to feel comfortable and calm before it began. She spoke to me through the whole thing about things that I like, and every now and then went back to tell me what she was doing when she was doing it so I didn’t worry. The procedure was done in 20 minutes and completely painless. Karen gave me good information on healing time, as well as info on other non-hormonal birth controls that I can use, and allowed me to stay and sit for some time to make sure I was okay to go home. Overall, I’m really happy and comfortable at the service (this being my second time using it) and I feel that this is a judgement-free service with the patients’ best interests at heart.

I don’t think anything could have been improved with my experience.
